LONG DRIVES

Do you ever notice how busy life can be that you hardly get times to talk to your significant other? My husband and I are on opposite schedules and we don't have any mutual days off together. Right now we don't really have a choice and secondly it cuts down on the amount of childcare we would need. Makes it hard to do things together but we manage.

So this last Saturday we had plans to drive to the beach. I tell ya, car rides on an open highway are a great place to talk. It passes the time and plus there are not too many distractions. Just think of all the miles of serious discussion that those highways have heard.

We ended up discussing something personal that we've been struggling with this year. My life for awhile now has felt in a holding pattern and that car ride may have given me some answers. It was a hard topic and many times I was either fighting back tears or just letting em fall. But on the other side of all that I do feel somewhat better.

So with that being said, I feel we may have somewhat of an answer. I feel like I need to try it on for size. See how it feels, see if it's the right decision. For me and for us. It's not an easy subject and it's not a subject that you can just make a quick yes or no out of. But it may just be the one that is right for our circumstances.
